Founding Engineer, Alienstacks
Afif Mansib Chowdhury is the founding engineer of Alienstacks and the architect of GPOS — Southeast Asia's leading retail POS software, running on more than 10,000 retail stores and processing $50M+ in annual transactions.
He was trained at Sunmi headquarters in Shanghai and holds Alibaba-standard Product Development Expert certifications — scoring 94% in 2023 and 98% in 2025. He is one of the very few non-Chinese engineers ever to receive this certification, which assesses deep technical expertise across Alibaba's production engineering stack.
He has shipped production software in Japan (Inada Manufacturing — AI quoting), Belgium (AssetXtoken — PropTech tokenization), Bangladesh (PujiGori crowdfunding, Bhalogari marketplace), and Thailand. He splits his time between London and Bangkok.
Why Alienstacks exists
Western technology moves slower than it should. Chinese engineering teams — operating inside ecosystems like Alibaba, Tencent, and Bytedance — ship features in weeks that Western agencies quote at months. The speed differential is not a talent gap; it is a process and tooling gap.
Most non-technical founders in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia face a broken market. London and San Francisco agencies charge $50k–$200k for builds that are out of reach for early-stage budgets. Offshore freelancers on Upwork and Fiverr fail more often than they succeed — the Builder.ai collapse in 2025 put this on the front page. Fractional CTOs charge $5–10k per month before a line of code is written.
Alienstacks is the third option: founder-led engineering with Alibaba-standard training, Western-facing operations, UK company registration, and SaaS-priced engagements. We compete with agencies on quality and with freelancers on price — without the failure modes of either.
